Can’t praise Dr Popelyuk highly enough, he is a professional and fantastic clinician.
As most of his patients I came into his care at a low point of my life and without doubt if it wasn’t for Dr Popelyuk’s input I would not have improved.

I had a Gender Dysphoria Diagnosis done by Dr Popelyuk a couple years ago. He was very nice and the report meant that I could start hormone treatment. However, I recently changed my name and asked if I could have the name on my report updated (expecting that they'd ask for a fee, of course) but they just said no, I'd have to have another assessment done to change the name on the report! A bit ridiculous if you ask me.

From the very first telephone enquiry through to receiving my sons gender dysphoria diagnosis,the service has been amazing. Their professionalism and understanding are second to none,they respond to messages quickly and efficiently. In reply to a previous negative review regarding cost - we went to Dr Sahota first and was disgusted by the lack of care so I would have paid double for the peace of mind we received from Dr Popelyuks team. We can't thank them enough.

[Review is for The Gender Clinic he runs for adults]

This clinic overcharges (£500) compared to places like GenderCare (£300~), and they conduct so called "cognitive tests" to ascertain whether you have capacity to make your own decisions (as said by their practice manager). When I questioned why they do these tests when the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the NHS, and their own professional body (RCP) states they must assume a person has capacity to make decisions, unless proven otherwise, the practice manager ignored everything I wrote and stated that they were sorry I felt this way - hardly the supportive service when you are essentially blaming the person.

To test someone's capacity like this is infantilising and degrading, and I know of few services that conduct these tests. I hope they change this practice.
