My daughter has a challenging set of co-morbidities that have been very difficult to treat. (Currently, she has five separate diagnoses.) She's also very intelligent, stubborn, and can't stand it when providers talk down to her, or act like she's a baby, just because she has mental health problems.

Enter Dr. Labellarte.

He took no BS, and gave no BS. He spoke with and reassured and challenged and prodded my daughter in age-appropriate ways, and I was thoroughly impressed. He also believed me (for the most part) and understood that I had been navigating a complex, challenging system to get the best possible care for my daughter.

No, he doesn't take insurance, which stinks. However, it's worth it.

On another note, his office is decorated completely in superhero themes, both Marvel and DC. So, kids are likely to feel right at home.

Dr. Labellarte is HORRIBLE. Charges $500 for the first appointment. Seemed annoyed when I called him on his cell (the number he gave me) one evening to ask him about a side effect my son was having from new medicine that he prescribed. Very arrogant. No patience with children. Told my 11-year-old son to go out into the waiting room and have a rage when he was starting to meltdown in the office. He shares office space with a pediatrician's office. The waiting room is full of little babies and toddlers, and Dr. Labellarte would rather him rage in the waiting room so he doesn't have to see it!?! He would not refill my son's prescription. My pharmacy sent him several faxes that he ignored. After I switched doctors, my pharmacist said they have that problem with him a lot. Save your money and avoid this pompous arrogant doctor.

Fraud. Saw him for years against my will. Charges ludicrous prices, never answers phone calls, no staff in the front office, does not run on schedule, doesn't care about his patients (forgot my name multiple times despite seeing him for 10+ years), misdiagnoses, and puts forth no effort in helping children. It's a travesty he is allowed to treat children. He bots 5 star comments because otherwise it would be nothing but 1's.

Completely shameless. Don't be like my family, don't waste your money for nothing.

Dr. Michael J. Labellarte, MD is an amazing doctor! He totally has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever met. The interest and care he takes towards his patience is far beyond my expectations. He is very creative in his approach and looks for great results. You will not be disappointed!!!!!! We have known him for over 10 years and he is always there for us!!! Totally the BEST Doctor in the area!!! So worth the commute! He also recommends great restaurants for after our visits!!!!!

If you're into "mommy shaming" and paying money to have your child's needs ignored all while stroking an arrogant, self assured doctors ego, then you're in luck! Drop a few hundred $ and leave with NO answers, and be criticized the entire appointment. He was more concerned in proving his "knowledge" and talking about who he has "rubbed elbows with" than getting REAL information on what my son needed. His concern as to MY memory of exact locations of hospitals and practices I had ever been to with my son was so precious to his record, that he was focused on the entire visit. I had my sons full record with me, yet he refused to even LOOK AT IT, because apparently he knows more than ANYONE else, and apparently every other doctor in the world (and don't even get me started on us stupid moms) are worthless.
Thanks a ton, "Doctor". I hope you enjoyed and found good use for the money you took from my son's care for nothing. I hope, atleast you felt better about YOURself for the remainder of the day, perhaps week.
Don't waste your time, money or tears on this guy.

Possibly the worst experience that I have ever had with someone posing as a professional. Our community lacks ample adolescent psychiatrists for medication management. The really good ones are not taking new patients-they are too busy. Consequently, we end up with people and offices like this one. My child is too precious to me to settle for just mediocre when it comes to medication management.
