I’ve been seeing Samuel for 3 years now, and he has been wonderful, and in that 3 years the communication has been absolutely abysmal with the office. Messages take anywhere from 3 days to a week to get a response to, and sometimes not at all, and I am shocked to see this many other reviews saying the exact same thing without any clear attempt to rectify this issue.

One of the reviews here called this practice’s poor communication skills “cruel” and that’s exactly how it’s felt. As someone dealing with mental health issues, not feeling supported by your mental health office over basic issues like refills and payments is a feeling that’s hard to put into words.

I love my psychiatrist, but after 3 years, I’m one more email away from finding a completely new practice. It’s truly unbelievable.

Renew has been great for me and their practitioners have been vital to my getting the care that I need. I think the other negative reviewers have had their experiences, but these folks weren't really patient with the medical providers and that isn't exactly fair. At a time like this there's been a huge disruption at every medical practice across the country and it's common to wait a few days. I schedule things in advance and try to stay on top of my needs. Since I do that I've never had a problem with Renew and they've been there when I need them. Don't wait until there's a fire in your home to take care of your (mental) health, get on top of it NOW and stay in good shape.

I have tried for two weeks to have Re-New call in routine refills for my vital medications.

In that time, my original nurse practitioner has left the practice--but her scheduler apparently didn't find out until a day after her departure--and the other nurse practitioner and his scheduler have not contacted me as promised.

Two of my medications have now run out thanks to Re-New's negligence.

I shouldn't have to explain how dangerous and cruel it is to force someone off their medication for no reason other than sheer administrative incompetence. A practice that allows this sort of situation to develop should not be in business.

I am truly shocked with how this medical office runs. I have been with them now for a year and the structure of this organization is horrendous. I’ve never had any problems with my specialist (Samuel Koroma) and the Renew as a whole up until the past couple of months.

I needed a letter of support explaining my mental health and my medical needs for a position that involved me working in another country. He assured me that I would have the letter, which his scheduling assistant Ashley Bishop would write according to him. Weeks went by and the deadline I originally gave them past. During that time I tried contacting Samuel and Ashley, but I received little contact from them with no information.

The organization I applied to graciously extended the deadline for the letter. But, Ashley informed me that it was Samuel who was supposed to write the letter. But, I cannot get in direct contact with Samuel, only through Ashley, or an answering service at the office. I have tried every single way to get ahold of this doctor, but no one will provide me any information and I cannot talk to anyone with this organization about how I’ve been mistreated.

This letter could mean the difference of me working abroad and advancing my career or me having to start a new career in a different field. The lack of communication and accountability I have seen from this organization is truly dismal. I do not suggest anyone become a new patient. You’ll have no way of directly contacting your doctor if you need help, and you must rely on email from a scheduler (my scheduler Ashley reaches out a week or even two after receiving an email). And all the answering service will do is take a message which will then be ignored.

If you're looking for a practice where you can have direct access and quick communication with your care provider... this is NOT it. You're not able to directly email the doctors or practitioners you see (they don't have personal email addresses), and the times I have reached out with requests to the office it takes over 5 business day for the request to be met (they will email back saying they're working on it, but you won't hear back for days after that). There seems to be no patient-centered approach or urgency with requests that pertain to medication or time-sensitive requests. Seeing the other 1-star reviews here and at other locations, it's clear it is an ongoing issue.

Been searching for a therapist who will take my insurance for quite some time, and it’s a difficult and trying process. Renew psych sent me a very promising email in response to an inquiry, letting me know they had limited availability and sent a few questions for me to answer. I replied less than an hour later and never heard back. This was two weeks ago and several unanswered calls later. This is worse than just ignoring my initial inquiry, this is giving those seeking mental health services false hope. Avoid.

They've been great! I've been seeing someone for about 9 months and am very grateful. They work with me to ensure I can be seen each week and even have someone on their team that can prescribe medication if needed. Highly recommend!

I tried contacting them on multiple occasions and nobody got back to me. Very unprofessional.
