I am so disappointed. I have been with this practice over a decade. I started a long time ago seeing Dr. Banov who is a very caring person and have been passed around a few times and landed with Brittany Toliver. My husband is late stage 4 prostate cancer and undergoing palliative chemotherapy. I am a wreck. I don't deny it. I've missed 3 appointments with Brittany. I don't know why, I just lose focus and forget what I am supposed to be doing. Over the years I have never missed appointments, but the last few months have been overwhelming. Today I received a letter in the mail that Brittany was discharging me from care because of missed appointments. People can be so cruel. The absolute worst time of my life and the person that is supposed to be helping me dismisses me from care for signs of the amount of stress I am under. She has totally disregarded the years that this was not a problem for me. I am heartbroken. Please do not trust Brittany to help you through a crisis. She will leave you stranded without care or prescription medication if you inconvenience her. Instead of taking note that I am having unusual trouble with time management and trying to help me she just discharges me from care. Please do not use her especially if you are in crisis.

I have been with Psych Atlanta for over 12 years. My original nurse retired and I was assigned someone new. We didn't click but they were very nice about finding/switching me to a different doctor. Now, all is well and I highly recommend this practice. Dr. Banov is great. My teenager also goes and her nurse is very nice and personal. Rebecca. Also, Nancy Garfield is a great therapist. Thankful for this practice. 💓

I know Dr. Banov for a long time. I usually looking for a doctor who would help me with the health issue. If a doctor has good bedside manners it just the little icing on the cake. The first time I saw the doctor I was not very impressed with the office personal and the doctors manners. However his advice was very helpful.
Over the years I understood the scope of his knowledge which is based on education his intelligence and life experience. What I noticed that his personal actually is helpful and very professional.
Dr. Banov gave me many practical advices on almost any aspect of my life. So I would highly recommend Dr Banov

However, my rating was lowered from a 5 to 3 because Dr.Banov’s staff completely dropped the ball when it came to getting ask of the new medications he had so meticulously worked out and handwritten on my medication list actually prescribed.

I left the office that Wednesday morning fully expecting to be ready to start a new set of medications as soon as the next day. As I checked out I made sure the receptionist knew my proper pharmacy. She called out by name and said, “Yep, I got it.” I had a Thursday morning appointment with my neurologist and we were going to go over the new medications. As my wife and I were driving back homer, a young lady from Dr. Banov’s office called to let me know had left my copy of the medication list in a packet of papers that I had at Dr. Banov’s office. I asked her to mail me the packet, but to take a picture of Dr. Banov’s handwritten notes on my medication list so I could have it for my neurologist the next morning. My wife also reminded me that I should be able to get a copy of the prescription changes when we picked up my new meds that afternoon.

This where the train went absolutely off the track for me…..Wednesday afternoon I call the pharmacy to see if my new prescriptions are ready to pick up. The pharmacy tells me that I have no new prescriptions, that I should call the doctor and check.I call Dr. Banov’s office and am told that I need to speak to Linda. I got her voicemail, so I left a message again requesting that a copy of Dr. Banov’s handwritten medication changes be texted directly to me.

Thursday was an absolute nightmare! I started at exactly 9:00 when Dr. Banov’s phone started. We even gave their office the fax number of my neurologist to see if the medication list could be faxed to him. All day long Thursday was a frustrating and fruitless day of phone calls and unreturned messages in an attempt of trying to get my revised medication list

Friday went almost exactly the same as Thursday only this time our pharmacist was doing a large part of calling. When we had still not heard by 11:00am I called an spoke with Julie. She told me that she was the only one there and that she had never talked to a pharmacist. I gave her the pharmacist fax number and she said she would fax in those changes. I told her that time was of the essence, that I really needed to start those medications before the weekend since I had seen Dr. Banov on Wednesday morning.

Friday morning at 11:53 and my pharmacist still had not received a prescription fax from Dr. Banov’s office!! At 11:54 I called Dr. Banov’s office and spoke with Calista. SHE was the the young lady my pharmacist had spoken with at 9:00am

Calista was calm and reassuring . She told me that Dr. Banov was not working today but that he regularly checked his messages during the day. I told Calista that I was really concerned about having my medication before the weekend. She let me know that she would leave him a second message just to be sure.

I called my pharmacist to tell her to be looking out for a fax , but if she had not heard something by 3:00 to call me and I would follow up. At 2:59, my pharmacist called to tell me that the medication changes were now (FINALLY) in and she would have them ready before 6:00.

This was a far too complicated and frustrating experience and really put a bad light on what had been a very successful and helpful appointment with Dr. Banov himself. I look forward to visiting PSYCH ATLANTA and Dr . Banov’s office again!

I've been seeing Dr. Banov for more than 10 years. I know he's always going to be straight with me and give me the best advice. He stays on top of the latest research and medications and always has a solid answer to my many questions.

His office is run very well. I particularly like the front office staff. They've remained the same two helpful women all these years. o me, that's always a good sign that a practice is being well managed and employees are happy working there. Makes all the difference!

Dr. Banov helps me with my adult son who has FTD, a rare type of dementia. He seems to be genuinely concerned for his patients and their well-being. I would highly recommend his services to others.

I saw Dr. Banov for the first time this week. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received! The doctor really listened to me, was very caring and concerned, and explained everything so my family and I could understand my treatment options. The office staff was all very friendly and welcoming! The office manager Rebecca went above and beyond to help me get my appointment scheduled. The office was very nice, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Banov to all my family and friends!! 🙂
