I see Dr. Halverson. He is one of the best psychiatrists/mental health professionals I have ever gone to. He is caring and listens closely. He has helped me remain functional with a severe panic and anxiety disorder. I don't know where I would be without him!

I was very hesitant to schedule my son’s appointment due to all the terrible reviews!

They have a portal - that obviously does not work and rely on it. I thought I send my forms but they never got it/ they cancel my appointment the morning via email - which I never got. My son missed school and I have to reschedule my work day - for nothing!

Dr Shaminka Henkel charges $550 which is a big charge for any family. Going through the whole process is so miserable. Tara Carr (her assistant) is rude, condescend… not sure why they are still in business.

Take your child somewhere else where there is compassion. This people here need help themselves! Going somewhere else after waiting 3 weeks for no appointment.

I am really surprised by the negative reviews, but know personally I am more likely to be fired up about a bad experience than to take the time to report a good one because we expect our doctors to provide us with the best care possible. My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Henkel for 9 months and we have had a very good experience. She carefully monitors her ADHD medication in collaboration with her teacher, me, the conversations she has with my daughter and her height/weight/etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Henkel to other parents who are ready to consider options for ADHD management. She educated and explains things thoroughly to me and made me comfortable with taking the next steps to help my child.

TERRIBLE practice.
This practice does NOT care about you, they only care about the money, the therapist I was seeing was good and I would definitely see him again. The psychiatrist specifically Jane Lanier is one of the worst psychiatrists I have ever seen in my life. She has the worst personality, and she doesn't listen. I saw her three times and I feel like things got worse. She eventually told me I need extensive treatment... LOL! Just AWFUL I would NOT suggest seeing her.

Dr. Huber is the best thing to ever happen in my life! I’ve seen her for over 20 years now and she has literally kept me alive and going in my life. I would not be here without her and her fantastic abilities to communicate and understand me.
Bless you Dr. Huber and much love to you!!!

I am beyond appalled by the lack of sensitivity, medical responsibility and professionalism of this practice. Specifically, Dr Valluru Palli. It took me over 2 months to get an appointment with them, even though I stated at the time of making the appointment that it was an emergency to get my daughter in- she was saying she wanted to kill herself - didn't want to exist - acting out in emotional behaviors that would make any mother want to die inside. I had to reschedule the first appt, because my daughter was sick at that time. It took another almost couple months to get her another appt. I also requested to find her a regular psychologist at the time - they said they had people there, and would get back to me to schedule an appt. Never happened. It is virtuously impossible to get this office on the phone. There is no after hours voicemail. Trying to leave a voicemail during office hours - it's nearly impossible to sit through the multi minute list of doctors, offices and extensions - after sitting through that, you don't actually here the option of your doctor - I had to randomly pick another extension, and hope to be called back. They also have NO EMAIL ADDRESS to contact. Seriously I'm quite sure, this kind of practice - psychiatry - is especially one to have the ability to contact your doctor - or at least the office - in some sort of method, whenever needed.

My daughter went to that appt today. I sent her with a close family member. I specifically sent her to see him without me - I know her better than anyone in this world, and know she would've been scared to talk - would clam up - not wanting to hurt my feelings, and not say what she was really feeling. The meeting would not be effective if I or her "dad" was there. Her "dad", is are large reason for her depression issues - and is not her biological dad.

Dr Palli apparently had a notably big issue - presumably IN FRONT of my daughter - that her mother or father weren't there.

We are stemming from a TERRIBLE experience with my kids last therapist, that they went to during divorce with their "dad". He filled her in on "his fake events" - she fell for it. When I approached her about the issue - and my ex sent a chain of crazy drunk emails, with her included - we never heard from her again. That is my kid's last experience with a counselor.

It was a nasty, dirty, vindictive divorce - with him using the kids as a method to get retaliation against me - irregardless of how the kids were impacted. He FALSELY called DFACS 3 times to accuse me of doing everything wrong under the sun. They don't have the most up to date system, in the means that they kept investigating the same accusations - because the people that investigated prior to, didn't fill out their report correctly - they didn't know it had been investigated, etc. They literally came to not just our house while I was there - but to the kids school during the day when we weren't there - without our knowledge - pulled them out of class - asked them to pull their pants and underwear down, to check their genital areas. Neither the school, nor the state notified us of this - even after it happened. This is the last impression that my daughter's have with a "therapist".

My daughter had to sit in his office today - recount these events - for a full 2 hours. I had multiple conversations with her, to prep her for this meeting, and that she was going to have to get on anti depressants - after years of deliberation.

I spoke to Dr Valluru Palli today, while my daughter was sitting in his office - telling him how important it was for her to get on an anti depressant medication now - he agreed - said he was going to start her on Zoloft. When she left the office - he left me a voicemail saying that he wasn't going to prescribe her the meds after talking to his supervisor, since her "legal guardian" wasn't there. We spoke on the phone - he told us one thing - did another. I would sign a consent if needed.

NO WORDS can express how disappointed and enraged I am at this system right now

Shamina Henkel is rude, exploitative, and exclusively concerned with a paycheck. She is disrespectful and greedy. She'll charge you hundreds of dollars for a 5 minute phone call. She won't call on time and she will literally hang up on you halfway through the "session". Service is garbage. Her staff is very friendly but very incompetent.

I transitioned from "talk therapy" to CBT/DBT in January at the recommendation of my psych and am incredibly thankful to have found my therapist through this group.

The staff is friendly, my therapist is great, and the CBT/DBT practices I've been able to implement in my life along with executive function coaching I receive have really helped me.

I hope others are also able to find the care they need.
