Unfortunately I can only provide a review on my interactions with the woman who schedules the appointments, I’m not sure what her title is. I had to reschedule my initial first appointment due to a conflict and received a call the day prior to my newly scheduled appointment explaining I had no submitted my new patient intake paperwork.

This was admittedly a mistake on my end, with Covid I had to go and get the documents printed and had planned on scanning them and sending them in the evening prior to my appointment. The woman cut me off mid explanation saying she needed the documents by 3pm. Unfortunately I was at work until later in the evening, so I apologized again and said I would have to reschedule. The woman on the phone said “I’m not going to reschedule you until you submit your new patient documents” she went on to lecture me about how much time they had given me to fill them out and how she felt it was more than adequate.

Firstly, I don’t need the gatekeeper to the office lecturing me about how to fill out paperwork. I recognize I took longer than I had wanted to turn the paperwork in, and I apologized for it.

Secondly, it’s 2020 during a pandemic, invest in getting someone to code you fillable PDFs for your new patient paperwork.

Thirdly, the attitude of the woman on the phone was unbelievable. This was my first attempt at getting therapy, and it’s left me questioning why I even tried. I can’t imagine how someone with severe anxiety is supposed to barrel through the first obstacle to get help that is the receptionist for this office.

If you are reading this and you are seeking help for mental heath issues, I sincerely hope you find it, just know you won’t find it here.

First off I'd like to say I've been with them for many years now. Ive had multiple people treat me and they all have been great. I feel like after the virus Psy Associates went down hill.
I had moment back in a few months where I called daily to THE FRONT DESK to have my prescription refilled . Then I find out they never emailed my Psychiatrist to let her know. I didn't have my very needed medication for 4 days ( it would have been 7 if I didn't have extra).
I reported the issue to my Psychiatrist hoping it would be resolved . This month I have had the same issue where the person ( probably outsourced in another country) does not relay the inform to my provider.
Psy Associates needs to go back to their old office system and fire their "office manager".

Dr. Elliot was amazing. I was deeply saddened when she moved on to another practice (of course very happy for her and her pursuit of her career). I was placed on a waiting list for another doctor at this practice and was never contacted even though I reached out many times. However, I got in touch with Beverly a receptionist who was able to get me a new appointment with someone else after months of calling. Both Beverly and Dr. Elliot have been the best part of this practice thus far. I am happy to say I actually did finally get another appointment though I'm wondering how it will go. Again Dr. Elliot you were amazing and I wish you the best. You deserve more than this place. Thanks again to Beverly who was both helpful and patient with me. She immediately scheduled something for me which was much appreciated. The atmosphere is not one for people going through what they are there for and the receptionists are below subpar and have no interest in there jobs. Thank you Beverly for actually helping me get a new appointment and being very kind. Thank you again Dr. Elliot for everything you will be missed!

To put it simply: Everything awful that has been noted in various other reviews, is absolutely true. Providers are argumentive and dismissing, billing is a nightmare. When I moved in from seeing a provider at psych associates, I emailed and spoke with the billing team to confirm that I did not have an outstanding balance (their billing system went down at one point and you could not make a payment online). I have now received a debt collection notice, yet their system still shows that I did not miss a statement or payment.

I have had an awful experience here. The doctor just throws medicine at me without knowing what the actual problem is. Most importantly, they have left me without medication for weeks twice. One was my antidepressant which left me wanting to unalive myself and the office was so unresponsive. The office is always unresponsive though. It has taken me 10 days just to talk to someone on the phone before. I hated it here.

To start this off, I love my psychiatrist. She is intelligent, listens to me, and is very well qualified to be in the position that she is. THE MANAGEMENT AND OFFICE STAFF ARE ATROCIOUS.

It is obvious that things are not well organized, the phones go unanswered more than half of the time, and it is just so hard to get in contact. No response to voicemails, emails… I just am very frustrated with how this establishment is run and am pleased to say that I am leaving for a different practice.

I will say I have had several particularly negative instances with Peggy in reception. Gaslighting me over simple questions. I really am disappointed in the overall functioning of the practice. Something desperately needs fixing here and I hope that someone reads these reviews and takes them seriously. Please avoid this practice. It was pleasant at first but when you continue for a longer period of time like myself, the disorganization starts to show through and it’s incredibly frustrating. They will leave you without necessary medications, even if they are uncontrolled!

I set my daughter up with an appointment through here. First appointment went well, the follow up appointment is where everything went completely disastrous. The follow up appointment was scheduled, we both went on through the telehealth link and waited 45 minutes with no show from the doctor, when I called the office they were unable to reach the doctor then were told we could reschedule, next available appointment wasn’t for weeks so I requested to switch doctors. Everything was set up and second follow up attempt was scheduled then about an hour and a half before the appointment I get a call saying something was going on and the appointment couldn’t be kept due to office policy and the switch in doctors, that we could schedule for another day. At that point I said no and that I would find a new doctor for my daughter, the office personnel’s manager then had me called back and insisted on speaking to me so we could find a solution, and an appointment was then made with yet another doctor for the same time of this original scheduled appointment. I left work early for this (again) waited over an hour with the doctor still not signing on for the appointment! Do not go here for your needs unless you want nothing but pure frustration and to waste your time! I give this place ZERO stars!

This is a really dirty office - obviously years of disgusting grime on the doors - and the front desk staff wasn't great.

Dr Marcia left her cell phone on and let it ring until it stopped on its own during our sessions (three times in our first session, once in our second [and last] session). I had specific goals which she ignored, and she told a lot of personal stories that weren't helpful or pertinent to my needs. She was 15 minutes late to both of our appointments.

Dr Wanda insisted that I submit to a genetic test before prescribing my necessary medication despite my extensive history.

edit: The owner of this practice has reached out to address my concerns and assure that the office will be renovated soon. I understand the financial difficulties faced by independent providers, and I don't fault them for struggling with renovation costs.

I still feel that the professionals I met with there were not a good fit for me, but am glad that there is progress underway. I have added a star to reflect goodwill toward their efforts.
