Been a patient of Dr. Shadid since I was 13 (I'm now in my mid-30s). He is amazing and has always helped me combat my mental health issues with care and consideration. Unfortunately the office staff quite literally cancels all of that out and sometimes just exacerbates my mental health issues. They are unhelpful, rude, never properly note anything, and place any possible blame for an issue entirely on the patient, if they choose to answer the phone at all. I'm sad to say I will be going to the trouble of finding a new psychiatrist after 20+ years rather than continue to deal with the office staff.

I have been a patient of Psychiatric Assoc of Tulsa for nine years this month. I was very pleased with nurse practitioner I saw for many years. Unfortunately, she left the practice and I was reassigned to Dr. Hubner. On my last two zoom appointments, Dr. Hubner was over an hour late. I had to sit on my phone on hold for over an hour. Not just once, but twice. Her complete lack of time management and consideration for other people’s time has been the most shocking display of unprofessionalism I’ve ever seen from a medical professional. I had an appointment scheduled for January 20th at a time earlier in the day in hopes that she wouldn’t be too behind and I wouldn’t have to wait as long. I’m currently going back to school and had to step out of my engineering lecture to jump on this zoom call with her. I waited on hold for 35 minutes before my phone died and I was never able to speak to the doctor. I called my prescription in on Monday for a refill (after calling Walgreen’s and checking to make sure they had my medication in stock and in what dosages). Today is Thursday and I hadn’t heard anything back so I decided to go in to the office in person to get some answers. When I went in the receptionist was helpful and took down my information. Turns out I needed to have an appointment on the books before they’d fill my prescription. No big deal, right? Then why didn’t anyone from their office communicate that to me? Not a word from them until I dropped in today. So I finally get to talk to someone and they call my medication in but they called my prescription in wrong and now I will have to call Dr. Hubner’s office back again and let them know that they’ll have to correct the script and call it in again which means a few more days without my meds because Dr. Hubner didn’t pay attention to my chart or the note her receptionist wrote stating the dosages that were in stock at my pharmacy. It’s just so frustrating! If I conducted my business this way I would be fired from every project I have. I actually asked to be switched out of Dr. Hubner’s care moving forward and I will be moving to a different practice altogether as soon as I can find one accepting new patients. I just wish Heather Holmes was still there! I hate leaving negative reviews, but I would 10/10 NOT recommend PAT to anyone.

My son went to this office many years ago I stopped going and recently we can back as patients. The doc wrote a prescription for my son then forgot to sign the prescription so the pharmacist would not fill the prescription. I called and spoke to the rude office manager that told me she would have the the doc rewrite the prescription and it will be ready the next day after 1pm. I got upset because this is NOT a refill it is mistake on their office I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said Dr Shed will not be in until Monday due to the holiday and she will have him call me. I still have not received that call and I am currently looking for a new office to send my son. if these docs plan on keeping their business they need to get new people that work for them

I loved Dr Forbes and cannot say enough good things about her. She was compassionate and caring. She may have run late for scheduled appointments, but that was because she took the extra time to listen and respond to each patient’s needs. I really hate to see her leave. She will be missed by many.

Updating this to reflect my completed experience. My doctor retired with only one month advance notice recently. I got zero referrals, and a piece of paper to request records for sending to another doctors office. It can take months to find a new psychiatrist, so this one month notice was scary for me knowing running out of meds could be a risk. Thankfully I found another psychiatric office that could take me immediately. Overall, my experience was frustrating. Not a single appointment did my doctor show up on time. Late for over four years of appointments, usually by half an hour or even more. She was nice, and I enjoyed speaking with her, and she did a good job with my meds overall, but I just found the practice incredibly unprofessional with the lateness and poor time management with zero apologies. I do not recommend it. I think you can find a better practice elsewhere in Tulsa.

Previous feedback: I've never waited less than an hour here for the doctor. No one seems to realize that's way beyond a typical 15 minute delay and it's just rude and the chronic nature of it tells me anything I've said or will say is falling on deaf ears. I don't know who the managing physician is but hopefully someone addresses this. My doctor is nice but the office has said this is just what I get. No apologies, no explanation, no attempt to continue bugging the doctor when she takes way too long.

Good luck trying to call them. Either it is a dial tone, or rings twice before getting a fax sound. Not open on weekends for calls so hope you don't have troubles with medications on those days.
And the call backs are as wishy washy as the answering.

Doctors are good, but their office staff are horrendous! You never receive call back on questions regarding medicine, or concerns with your care. I needed to re schedule my son's appointment, but had to leave a message ( of course) never received a call back. Just to schedule an appointment you have to leave a message. Management needs to either fire the people tgey have and hire new people or add on to the stuff they already have if their that busy.
