Andrew Gothard conducted a custody evaluation in my case. When I offered him a statement and asked if he wanted evidence that accompanied the statement, he told me not to give him any additional information only later to state that I had circular reasoning. He charged an additional 2000 to read supplemental materials he claims to have read but did not follow up with me about what was in the statement. He didn't appear concerned at all at the allegations that were in the statement because he did not actually read them. He just took the money. Further, Andrew Gothard let an unlicensed psychologist conduct majority portions of the evaluation. Additionally, Andrew Gothard let a Guardian ad litem influence the evaluation to the point she deliberately misquoted him in Court and gave diagnoses of his. The Guardian ad litem misquoted him at trial and Andrew Gothard refused to address the issue as is required by the APA rules and Georgia statutes. Finally, Andrew Gothard does not entertain alternative theories. If someone claims the other parent has disorder, Andrew Gothard only looks for that disorder, and if you pay enough, you will get the result you ask him to find.
