I should have read other reviews before coming here. I was prescribed a medication for ADHD with a 2 week recheck to see if the medication was working. Well they originally sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy fine mistakes happen. The first day of taking the medication I had concerning side effects throbbing headache, extreme fatigue, fever. I immediately left a message for my nurse practitioner and have yet to hear back. It’s been a week now. I have learned to be picky about who I trust my mental health with.

I don’t have a problem with my prescriber at all, but I really have had a poor experience with this business otherwise. You can’t ever get these people on the phone. You have to leave a message. I’m so sick of crap like that. This presents a huge problem for me because I’ve only been able to pay a bill once. I probably owe them for 4 other co-pays for past appointments over several months and they have not given me any other bills. If they keep this up or expect me to just pay it all at once at some point I am definitely taking my business elsewhere which is disappointing because I like Brian.

Provider Jessie Kuhn - Has very little knowledge of certain medications.
1 - Wellbutrin - she is under the impression that it should not be used people with a PAST HISTORY (not active) of eating disorders and refused to prescribe.
She suggested I research this to prove her wrong, which I did. Wellbutrin is perfectly safe for people who are not actively bulimic. Eventually he agreed to prescribe.

2 - Cymbalta & Wellbutrin together - she is under the impression that these 2 medications can not be prescribed together. She refused to prescribe.
Again, I did the research and found that they are commonly prescribed together and are very safe.

3 - During these prescription conversations she became quite emotional/confrontational. I'm 59 yrs. old and know to move on to another provider. I worry for anyone younger or less experienced in dealing with mental health issues who would not have the wherewithal to do so.

This woman seriously needs some counseling of her own and lot more eduction before she should be allowed to work with patients.

I am currently a client of Julie Gritz at Colorado Psych Clinic. I have found her to be very attentive, compassionate, caring, and a provider that goes above and beyond. She is knowledgable about the newest medications and treatment regimens and has insightful ideas about how to best treat my diagnosis. I am able to reach out to her if I am having issues that need to be addressed between appointments with her and that makes me feel safe and secure. I would highly recommend Julie to anyone searching for a new Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

I have been seeing Brian Watkins since relocating to Colorado. He has been the most attentive mental health professional that I have ever worked with. I feel very heard, and it is notable that he looks deeply at things and will take more time if needed versus rushing to a diagnosis. He is very thoughtful and caring, and I was really impressed by his ability to understand my words when I myself was not exactly able to do so!! I cannot recommend Mr. Watkins enough, working with him has been life changing for me! It is also worth noting that he is very friendly and easy to talk to, which I think is critical in a patient/provider dynamic.

I truly don't believe, even for a minute, that Nurse Practitioner Sylvia Knapp is certified for her position, let alone having access to people looking for a real human being for mental health assistance.
Where do you get these people anyway?

Julie Gritz is awesome to work with. She treats people not just conditions. She's always happy to explain the "why" behind decisions, asks insightful questions, and makes sure I leave appointments with a good understanding of my treatment plan. Highly recommended!

Julie Gritz is the greatest psychiatrist I have ever had.

She LISTENS to all of my concerns and has an innate ability to follow the rabbit holes I take us down.

She has an amazing way to paint a picture of “why” she is making particular suggestions and always provides detail of what med does what and why and how.

I ALWAYS look forward to our appointments whereas in the past I would dread them with other psychiatrist feeling like I was in a revolving door to hell.

In the past I always felt uncared for and like I was just a guinea pig generating money.

Here I am heard, seen, understood, valued, and cared for.

Thank you Julie! I am forever grateful to you.
