Been a patient here since 2017 and have been SO happy with the doctors, staff, and most importantly with the care + services they provide. My mental health journey has had its fair share of peaks and valleys, but over the last 4 years I've been able to reach a point of stability and peace of mind that I could not have done without Pacific Psych Centers. Thank you!

Ketamine Therapy literally saved my life! I’ve been sober over 6 years and no anti depressants were working for my SEVERE ANXIETY and depression - thank god for Dr Sable at Kaiser who referred me for KT. Everyone here is super nice and welcoming. I’ve built a special bond with Monica and look forward to seeing her every time - she’s the best!!!! Such great energy and truly cares about you. Couldn’t recommend Monica or Pacific Psych more!!!

To start, I have been a patient of Pacific Psych Centers for over 6 years now. I've received medicine management, TMS, and have collectively spent thousands at this office.

Recently, my care was abruptly terminated and the justifications were 1) too many "no-shows", despite giving no warning beforehand and having scheduling SW (OnPatient) that has had constant mishaps, and 2) that the office would soon be moving away from medicine management entirely and towards TMS/Ketamine treatments.

There have been countless scheduling errors (which account for a percentage of these no-shows) and the remainder of these are due to diabetes complications which present themselves with little forewarning.

Additionally, my medicine management remained relatively flat over several months and rather than issue more refills, they have required that I make expensive appointments to receive my medication despite having no symptomatic complaints.

Lastly, after trying several times to reach the office for the past 2 weeks via email and phone in order to get my medical records transferred to a new doctor, I have been consistently ignored. Upon calling from a different phone number, they finally picked up.

Overall, it seems like Pacific Psych Centers is more interested in profits from expensive therapies over the wellbeing of long standing patients. As a diabetic I feel discriminated against since these "no-shows" were a completely unavoidable consequence of a chronic disease. This is the definition of patient abandonment.

The doctor seemed more interested in a sales pitch than finding out my purpose for calling, obviously having not read my intake information beforehand. I appreciate a relaxed atmosphere but sweaty gym clothes and a ball cap aren’t my idea of professional.

The purpose of my comment is not to gripe, but let others know of the wild mismanagement and lack of support provided. I don’t care about $75. This office has chosen to hold my health hostage in a dangerous situation; over a fee they can’t enforce; based on falsified information, with no apologies, compassion, or solutions offered. This is the first appointment I have missed with Pacific Psych, and the first I’ve missed with any of my 7 doctors in 3 months.

I checked my credit card statement and saw Pacific Psych charged me $75 a week and a half prior. This is the only indication I missed an appointment with them. I remember the day – I had an doctors appointment on my personal calendar and searched through calls, texts, emails trying to figure out which of my 7 doctors it was. I found nothing. I even called two of them. I was wrong, apparently it was Pacific Psych.

I called the front desk, who claims they emailed, texted, and called me, but that they didn’t leave a voicemail because my voicemail box wasn’t set up. None of this is true. It becomes concerning because, how will the doctors contact me if anything comes up? Do they have the wrong number? If I’m not getting contacted like you claimed, what else am I missing? Very concerning.

Despite evidence and claims they would look into the issues, follow up inquiries have been met with canned responses from Pacific Psych has told me they will not refund the $75 late fee, that their automated emails and texts (which never came) are courtesy, and I have to pay it “if I want to continue treatment”.

Note that right now I am in a critical point in treatment. I was asked to start upping my dosage on a medication that has a side effect for a serious rash, like get sent to the Intensive Care Unit serious. Starting three weeks ago, my body has started breaking out in a rash and I didn’t connect the dots after going to a walk-in clinic when it became more serious. To add to this, the medication also can cause seizures if I quit cold turkey and I probably only have one week of medication left.

Also note that this office is dysfunctional enough that I never signed paperwork agreeing to a $75 late cancellation fee. In other words, this office is refusing to treat me unless I pay a $75 fee that was never agreed to. I am not a lawyer, but I believe this constitutes medical abandonment. I was also told but not verified that failing to contact your patients for follow up treatment after missed appointments can also be medical abandonment.

Could I pay $75 to see a doctor here again? Sure. Do I trust them anymore? Absolutely not. Would I refer anyone I cared about to come here? No. It’s a real pity.

If I had the ability to give more stars, I would! I have been going to the Pacific Psych Center for 6 months. Dr. Jake and all of the staff there are AMAZING! Monica always makes me feel very comfortable and heard! Always welcomed and never rushed. As someone who is medication resistant, is grieving the loss of a child to a drug overdose, and has had years of trauma, ketamine infusions have helped me maintain stability. It has helped me not fall off the “deep end”. It has helped me have a clear mind and find my inner voice again. It has helped me process my thoughts and emotions in a much more constructive manner. I look forward to my continued healing journey with Pacific Psych Center because I know that I still have a ways to go. I would highly recommend Pacific Psych Center to anyone struggling; you don't have to struggle forever alone.
