I've been using the services at this facility for almost 4 years for my family. I'm not sure why the poor reviews on here are stating "scam" for insurance or lack of communication. My insurance has always been accepted, I'm always auto billed my copay, and when I got a new debit card and failed to tell them about it, (because let's face it, you forget who you have on auto bill from time to time) they politely called and asked for the new card or how I would like to be charged in the future. The staff are always polite and friendly to work with, and highly capable of performing tasks necessary to get the job done right. I hit my out-of-pocket maximum halfway through the year and they stopped charging me my copay, and didn't even need to communicate because I just checked my bank account and realized they were on board with the process. That is a win win in my opinion, not all medical facilities are capable of this very experience.

The sessions were in house prior to home and shelter mandates, ever since March of 2020 all sessions have been virtual. We did a full psychological exam with this facility in April if 2022, and they had some of it in person but most of the paperwork was done virtually. I felt, once I was in communication with the psychologist performing the testing, my questions were answered and the overall process of how things would go were all communicated very efficiently.

I also think, finding therapeutic services accepting of insurance is not common. If you hit a few bumps in the road, (because it's not done in the same manner as maybe, your wellness checkup is done with a physician) it's a learning process and be open to learn how it all goes because finding this facility is a GOLD MINE.

Everyone at Peace of Mind was very friendly. However, I cannot recommend them based on the evaluation I received. I never had a chance to speak at depth about my experiences or the concerns I was having. Instead, after a brief consultation they rely on "objective" tests, like an IQ test and rating scales. I understand the desire to add objectivity to the diagnosis process amongst concerns that some disorders are over diagnosed, but these tests did not reflect the way my brain works in a normal, day to day environment, and the rating scales leave no room for nuance or explanation. I did not feel heard or understood throughout the process. I ultimately recieved an inaccurate diagnosis that seemed to be based only on a few responses to multiple choice questions.

I was searching for a therapist for my son, who was having some behavioral issues. After some research, Peace of Mind seemed a good option. Our therapist, although somewhat new to the field, seemed like a decent fit for our son. Things were going okay. My son was referred for an ADHD assessment. Thankfully, insurance paid for the assessment which was done by Peace Of Mind. However, this is when my concerns began. First, I kept receiving additional surveys related to the ADHD assessment with no explanation. No one called and explained. I found myself consistently having to ask about next steps, assessments that I'd received, etc... Then, we met with the psychologist who explained the assessment, but once we received the diagnosis, there was no follow up. No referral to a psychiatrist and no guidance. Then, the therapist my son was seeing makes my son aware that he's moving on. We, the paying parents, did not receive any communication from the therapist initially. As a matter of fact, I told Peace of Mind that this therapist had informed my son that he was leaving. They didn't seem to know.
After much back and forth, this was confirmed. The therapist did not contact me and speak with me about his decision, about his conclusions with my son, about potential next steps to continue his therapy at all. Finally, after the holidays, I received an email from the therapist providing a list of psychiatrists and other residential type services for my son. I am disappointed in the lack of care that we received with Peace of Mind and will not be utilizing them in the future. I think that mental health is very important. And when a therapist is leaving a patient, he/she should make sure that that patient has a place to go. This did not happen. I'm just grateful my son was not suicidal or in some other type of mental crisis.

Great experience! Friendly front office staff and knowledgeable psychologist. Dr. Gaynor provided a very detailed report after spending quality time with my kid. We are quite hopeful!! I highly recommend Peace of Mind.

I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance. IT WAS URGENT, I need a therapist for my mental health. I drove an HOUR to the place just to show up and for them to tell me it was virtual. NEVERRRR was I told it was virtual. NOT THROUGH PHONE CALL, NOT THROUGH EMAIL. This business clearly has communication issues. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. They have zero consideration for their clients.

I was referred to this practice for an evaluation. It was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Gaynor was very knowledgeable and her evaluation helped answer so many questions for me. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good psychologist!
