Employees sound like very nice and caring professionals. The company itself needs a better system for new patients.

There's no wait list for new patients. I called multiple times over the span of around 2 months, attempting to schedule a new patient appointment. I eventually gave up.

I am sure they provide a great service if you can get through the door. But for new patients, I'd argue that this is terrible customer service.

My experience with this office and my provider was incredibly unprofessional. I was a patient of Dr. Rutledge’s for several months at the Columbia location, seldom missed an appointment and always called in advance if I needed to reschedule. When I arrived to the office during my normally scheduled appointment, I discovered that my provider booked someone else in my time slot. I was eventually informed by my provider that evening that they were under the assumption that I wanted to discontinue therapy, despite the fact that I never had any intentions of, nor did I ever indicate that I planned on, discontinuing my sessions. All office staff I spoke with contended that they never indicated that I wished to discontinue. At this point I question this provider’s dedication/attention during client sessions given that he was informed of this without even second-guessing the information. Even if my provider received misinformation regarding my wanting to discontinue therapy, I should have been contacted for confirmation. Instead this provider's first reaction was to schedule another client in my time slot.

Even though I was assured that I would be receiving a phone call to fix the scheduling issue, I never received a call or email. Instead I had to make numerous phone calls to this office over the course of several weeks. Each person I spoke with had less idea of what was going on than the person I spoke with prior. They all assured me that they would speak to my provider. My provider still never reached out, even after staff personnel contacted him. To this day I have never received a phone call from my provider to address this issue or any further information regarding what caused this messy situation. It has been about two and a half months now.

In order for a client to discontinue therapy there is a process that must be followed, which is highlighted in PsychCare’s ‘Welcome Packet.’ Clients are strongly discouraged from just ‘discontinuing’ therapy without following the aforementioned process. Does PsychCare hold its staff to the same standard? Any mental health professional should understand that the client-therapist relationship is a critical aspect of therapy and is paramount at every stage in the therapeutic process. I question whether PsychCare and its staff are committed to its clients rather than the capital they generate. The fact that a person seeking mental health services could be so profoundly overlooked by both a provider and PsychCare's office staff is both shameful and appalling at best.

Before we got married, we decided we wanted some pre-marital counseling. Since we're not religious, we decided to see a progressive therapist. Stephanie Bathurst was a dream come true. She helped us understand our priorities with marriage, our expectations, our non-negotiables and even helped us deal with pre-wedding stress in an open and non-judgemental environment. We saw her 2-4 times a month. Our time with her was just as important as any of the other vendors we had for our wedding & we're truly grateful for knowledge & expertise. Psych Care was also in my network so the co-pays were incredibly affordable (which is also quite important when wedding planning).
