I brought a friend here in her time of need, specifically because we thought it would be a calmer, more intentional experience than taking her to a hospital. Please do not seek services here—the front desk staff was friendly but the nurses and staff back of house are useless. My friend experienced sexual harassment and had her food stolen by other patients, and the staff’s safety response was to just avoid those patients. No meaningful action was taken to guarantee her well being. My friend had to beg for vegetarian food, which only came once a day. I called to ask about it, and the staff told me they don’t serve vegetarian food, which is religious discrimination. She wasn’t allowed to shower for 36 hours despite being told to bring multiple changes of clothes. We brought her medicines, but because of this facilities own internal processes with their pharmacy, she wasn’t allowed to take her anti depressants while there. Worst of all, was the exit process. Their social worker called me to schedule a pick up plan for my friend. We agreed on a time and the following day they told my friend she wouldn’t be getting released then, likely not even the same day they originally told us. After I called to find out more information and make a plan to pick up my friend, the staff kept forwarding me to voicemail. This place needs to be investigated for negligence, the quality of care was abysmal.

Logan at the front desk was away from the front desk for at least an hour. I managed to get all the way up here from oxon hill before someone answered and her excuse was she was out getting food when people are trying to call for loves ones. This place is very unprofessional. Staff antagonizes patients and most cant even cater to the needs of patients and are stuck up.

She left there on September 4,2024 and went straight to Rehab at Avenues Recovery. We had a video call with my Beautiful Baby Girl today, and I wanted to share with you my Joy and Blessings, and to tell you "THANK YOU" for being my daughters Counselor there at PIW.

This review is for Mr. Albert Reed. From the first day I came onto the detox unit he listened to me and what I needed. I expressed to him that I needed a good treatment center for my mental health and my addiction. He efficiently and quickly found me a bed at a place that I can get help for both my mental health and my addiction. He was always pleasant which made talking to him and opening up to him really easy. I would recommend anyone to PIW detox program because of him. Thankyou so much Albert!
