When I inquired about their services for an assessment for my 7 year old I was given a straight forward, very precise appointment schedule that I had to agree to. A contract of services.
They provided a clear contract. The schedule broke down into (4 ) separate appointment. Each contained a scheduled date, appointment lengths, appointment times, cost per appointment and what was the scope of work during each appointment.
The terms to the services I was paying for were fair, well laid out and precise. I agreed to those terms.
First appointment followed the described assessment plan.
Second appointment followed the assessment plan.
Third scheduled appointment - I show up at clinic with my child. There was no appointment booked. We live 40 minutes away and I pulled my child from
School and took time off work. Secretary apologizes and states she doesn’t know why the appointment was never booked on their end. “Sorry for misunderstanding…. we are now booking months out”. Naturally I was not happy. She says she will call me later with an explanation. She calls me back and says “ I spoke to XYZ and they said your child doesn’t require the third assessment. Visiting with your child once was enough to make a judgement about your child.” Where did the assessment protocol go that I agreed to? They met my child once. I am left feeling untrustworthy of their findings.
When I pushed harder to find the reason why my child wasn’t receiving the 3rd scheduled appointment the answer changed again- oh for her age we don’t do in person 2 visits.
Fast forward a month later, I have received no communication from the office for the 4th and final assessment appointment of findings. I called today to ask when I would be receiving a break down of the assessment results and was advised 3-4 months from now.
I was also instructed that I would still be charged $1600 for the third appointment that NEVER occurred.
I would find another place to go. As another parent has stated their services have been unreliable in nature and I will be looking to have my child reassessed somewhere else.
