My therapist was very nice, but the billing department is awful. Have been talking to them for MONTHS trying to get them to bill to my insurance correctly. I’ve given them the information multiple times, called multiple times, but they don’t care. I literally stopped my therapy here because it was more stressful to worry about what they were going to screw up next than my life was. The photo is of the charges from them trying to charge me $2,000 for twelve insurance covered appointments and two missed appointments. This should be $340 (copay of $20) but somehow it’s $2,000. If someone at the clinic could bother giving me a call back, I’d appreciate it!

When the office went to a new billing system though, someone decided to change my legal name from Jessie (again, my legal name so that’s what appears on literally every document) to Jessica because wth?

When I started seeing a psychiatrist in addition to a therapist, they added an entirely new account for me, instead of just updating the current one. So I started getting two bills, different amounts - one for each provider. Of course the only way to pay your bill is to send in your credit card information written on a piece of paper. They’re nice enough to provide the self-addressed envelope, but you still have to pay for the stamp.

Want to pay online? Can’t. They’re not set up. Want to pay over the phone? Can’t. There’s literally no one who will call you back to do that. Even when I sent in a payment with very explicit instructions to call me to sort things out, nope. Best part? When you finally do get them to accept a payment through the mail, you don’t get a receipt. Never. Again, even when you include the request for a receipt along with the payment information.

And oh yeah, I sent in payment information with copies of the bills, and a note saying use the same payment information for both bills. Of course, they didn’t do that. They only applied it to one account/bill. So now they’re saying that I’m delinquent on payment. And again, there’s absolutely no way to actually talk to anyone who can help.

So, to recap: Providers are amazing. The only reason I even went to The Psychology Clinic is because I followed my therapist from another office, because she was so awesome. If you aren’t already seeing someone on the staff, then do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go.

The psychologist I had was amazing, but their billing department is ridiculous. I have been calling since August of 2019 and they have yet to fix the issue that is their fault (I'm leaving this review 5/17/20). I've reached out to my insurance who has assured me that the Psychology Clinic failed to obtain the proper information. So I called the Psychology Clinic, and was told that it was in fact their error, and that they would fix it and told me to let them know if I get any further bills. 3 months later, and I receive another bill. Tried calling again, can't get through to anyone, so I left voicemails for each extension. I will update this once I hear back. Issue was finally resolved in June.
