So grateful to this group. I tried everywhere to get my child evaluated and each place we tried, had excuses for why they couldn't see us. The ladies here helped me and my family so much. Shannon was open and available to my concerns and needs when booking the initial appt. She was so great at communicating what to expect, and the whole process. My child felt at ease and was comfortable with Dr. Caudill. Dr. Caudill was very thorough in her exam and findings. Everything was explained with care and encouragement. We are so grateful to this group and their staff. We have some answers and can't wait to help my child on this journey. No rudeness whatsoever!!!

Dr. Caudill has been an absolute lifesaver!! I couldn't find anyone willing to help my kids because of their ages and history, but Shanan listened when I called, and was so kind and encouraging. Dr. Caudill agreed to help us and they were able to get us in quickly. She did a very thorough assessment on both of my kids and we were able to get the official diagnoses we needed to move forward. Dr. Caudill is an expert with decades of experience, but is able to explain complex theories in simple terms to help parents understand their kids' needs. She offered invaluable insight and recommendations to help get my kids the services they desperately needed. Shanan was also a huge help getting us the information and resources we needed quickly, and listened carefully and compassionately. We would still be on a waiting list somewhere, desperate for help while my kids got worse if it weren't for the excellent care we received from West Georgia Psychological Services!

STAY AWAY!!! One star is a stretch because Dr.Caudill does not deserve it. It has taken me a few months to write this review but it has to be done.

Dr.Caudill is far from being a professional or an expert! She diagnosed my son with Autism before every meeting him or testing him! She is rude, crass and has not empathy for parents or children dealing with life changing situations. We came to her with mild concerns with attention 🤷🏻‍♀️

I hate that we had to use them from our fist appointment on but I now understand why they were the only people immediately available. The receptionist was the most professional and kind thing about this office. The manner in which Dr. Caudill spoke to my family speaks volumes about her quality of service or lack of!!

I have never had a doctor speak so aggressively , indifferent or jump defensive with parents concerned about their child’s anxiety/special needs. She essentially told us that every doctor as well as us the parents for the last 11 years had missed any signs of concern. She also went on tell me how she was the only doctor in the area with the expertise in Autism and the others were missing it often. AGAIN I SAY KEEP YOU FAMILY AWAY!!! I had a bad feeling from day one when Dr. Caudill got offended by my questions. I’m the parent, I said! I am supposed to ask the doctor questions?

She wants to be know as an Autism expert but she is neither and expert or an advocate. As parents we come to this process stressed and worried and instead of being met with a thorough professional process we were met the Dr. Kevorkian of Psychology. Families deserve better. My son even said the nicest person there was the receptionist. She wasn’t nice he said!!! (They only met that one time, stranger danger) But he was diagnosed with Autism because he didn’t converse much with Dr.Caudill and because we said he doesn’t like loud noises. She wasn’t nice he said!!! Families and children with anytime of psychological needs deserve better!!!

Just so you know my family and I sought out a second and third opinion from top experts in the field of child psychology which is also why this review is a little late. Though I knew she was wrong I needed it confirmed by true professionals.

I wish I had read all the reviews prior to going. The only ones that seem to be good are workers, coworkers, workers family and friends and people in her circle because it seems like many of us had the same horrible experience.

Dr.Caudill please do better for children and families we are depending on and trusting you and you are providing malpractice. From the last few months because of you we have been going through life changing emotions and work with our sons school based on your desire to over diagnose children with Autism.

Growth is a part of life please use these reviews as an opportunity to reflect and truly impact this work and support children and families in the way you could and should.
Please and thank you!!

I'm extremely confused by some of these reviews and comments.
While I don't want to doubt anyone's personal experience and understand that these can always vary from mine, it seems that many of these reviews are coming from parents struggling with the diagnosis they receive for their child. That's valid, but it's not okay to make false statements.
I was a patient of Dr. Caudill's and it was very clearly laid out for me during the initial scheduling: 1st appt (virtual) is reviewing the intake, asking questions, prepping for the assessment, 2nd appt (in-person) is the assessments, 3rd appt (virtual) is the review of her report and findings, which she actually sends to you *before the appointment* to review and prepare questions, if desired, and give feedback on any intake errors so they can be corrected.
And that's exactly what I experienced. Now, I'm not sure if it's a bit different for children, but I would've run for the hills if I'd been told that they plan to diagnose me before meeting me, or anything else unethical.
Shanan, the office manager, was an absolute gem. She kept me informed of insurance costs ahead of time so I knew exactly what was going to happen and there weren't any surprises.
I was so thankful to have found Dr. Caudill's office, someone who specializes in evaluating Autistic women and girls (hardly anyone else does in Metro Atlanta), could see me in a month, AND accepted insurance!! She was further away from me in Douglasville, but so worth the drive and I only had to make it once.
Especially if you're an adult considering if you're possibly neurodivergent, this is the place to go! I'm so grateful!

It is very disheartening to read the negative reviews here. I literally have no idea what I would have done had I not found Dr. Tina Caudill of West Georgia Psychological Services. She is a Godsend. I had found myself frustrated by school administrators along with my son's teachers not listening to my observations which led me to believe that there were legitimate issues causing my son to struggle academically. Instead of having a willingness to understand him, they would dismiss him as a child with behavioral issues. I knew that was not the case and I understand how many children are miseducated by being classified as simply having behavioral problems, not only by their educators but more so by their own parents who do not want to accept that their child could have disabilities. I've noticed that parents take offense as if a child being diagnosed is an attack on them or an insult to their parenting, when that is not the case. In our society there is such a stigma on mental health and getting services for it that a large number of people resist dealing with the core issues. This causes more issues for the child overall. If we are more open to being properly educated on learning disabilities and Autism then we are better suited collectively to help children succeed in education and in life. The focus should always be what is best for the child. Dr Caudill has genuine concern for what will help each patient best and I commend her for continuing to diagnose her patients in the manner that will support their needs best even when she has to face opposition from others. That speaks to her character and intentions. I highly recommend Dr. Caudill and West Georgia Psychological Services to anyone who is seeking real assistance in their psychological, mental health, and learning challenges. I pray that she remains fortified to continue identifying the needs of those truly in need of supports and healing.

The entire staff are more than EXCEPTIONAL! I have trusted WGPS with my children for years. They have always been no less than excellent. The negative comments listed here are grossly inaccurate. The Dr genuinely cares. The office manager is very professional and extremely polite; answers all questions, calls, and emails. The services provided here are desperately needed in the community. Please don't let the inaccurate negative comments discourage anyone from using these services.

I have known Dr. Tina Caudill professionally for more than a decade. She shows genuine concern for her clients throughout the evaluation process, and she consistently prioritizes ethics and client welfare. I continue to refer to her practice often, as she is extremely skilled at assessing for a variety of psychological issues, particularly autism. The office manager is truly exceptional, as well. She is kind, works extremely hard, and is very easy to talk to.

Absolutely horrendous. I hate that I have to use these people. The manner in which you are spoken to speaks volumes about the service and empathy for these kids. I have never had someone seem so cold and indifferent about special needs children like the office manager of this establishment. I am absolutely disgusted that there are so few options for this type of testing. They need to be shutdown. It’s apparent that we are receiving unstable emotion based service depending on the mood of the office manager. As parents needing these services we are already under so much stress to be approached in such a prissy I’m better than you manner. Me and kids deserve better as do any of you looking to use this establishment. I would 100% recommend you reach out to other places like I am.

Update; these people lie on top of everything. All of these reviews say the same thing rudeness and unprofessional. It is apparently a common occurrence with this place. So much so that they have to spend their time replying and even recruiting coworkers to review them to bring up their score and combat all the negative reviews they get because of their own behavior! For behavior specialist you would expect they would know how to conduct themselves with others! Pathetic honestly not even an attempt at resolutions just excuses and lies. Disgusting! There are plenty of other places and I intend to list every one for reference to everyone reading this in hopes we all find an alternative to this god awful place!

Do better west Georgia psychological!!!!! Y’all are grown act like it !
