I have been going here for 4 years. This is the first year I've had issues, probably because the person answering the phone, Jennifer, is extremely rude and doesn't let me finish a sentence. I called to get a refill for 3 weeks. Now I'm suffering symptoms and they claim they never got my calls. I pulled my call logs, 3x a day for 3 weeks and they hung up on me. The front end ruins good doctors who try to care but can't because the front end doesn't pass on messages.

Has gone way downhill. Doc misses or is late to scheduled online appointments. They just left me without medication that I've been on for 10 years, doesn't return calls for over a week, then tells me to call back Monday. Of course she's not even in on Monday when I call back.

People depend on their providers for medication and support, so there's not much point if they are never there when scheduled or needed.

The NP my elder daughter saw for her ONE session was very good, however, the office is horrible!! They wanted payment UP FRONT instead of billing my insurance first. We had a follow up appointment which we thought they'd call to remind us for (like every other doctor's office) but they didn't, so we called the day of, they said they wouldn't charge us the missed appt fee. We spoke about rescheduling but with the Christmas holiday were having issues so the office person said let me speak with the NP and get back to you.

A month later, and no call back, my daughter running out of meds, I call them and get NO RESPONSE, then I get a bill for a missed appointment.
Today I call and they say, "oh you had 2 missed appts the same week". No I didn't. It seems the woman in the office made an appt for my daughter but didn't email, call, or leave me a voice mail to let me know the NP could see her that week. How am I supposed to bring her to an appointment I know nothing about?! So they sent me a fee for that. I told them I'm NOT paying it, and hence my call earlier this month saying, hey I haven't heard back from you!!!

UPDATE Nov 2018 Apologies were given, charges reversed, things have been worked out and my daughter has returned. Her nurse practitioner is great. The office fixed the issues and we haven't had any since. They still do not make phone call reminders and require payment up front, this is just their way of business. It's odd, but I guess that's that. This doc has been the best for my daughter so far, so at least I now know what to expect. I'm considering taking my other daughter here as well.

This "business" is terrible. Not only did I have to drive an hour and a half to their office to fill out basic paperwork for a VIRTUAL appointment. The program they use for therapy video sessions doesn't allow me to connect to my headphones. And there therapist internet connect was less than par, she kept breaking up. It just wasted my valuable paid for time. I wanted to switch therapist because mine was not in control of the session and was overall unprofessional, but I was NOT ALLOWED TO! They were playing games with me saying I had to let them know and why. That's not my job nor should I be required if I didn't feel like they were a good fit. Overall I say stay clear of this business, it was a waste of time and gas money!

I can’t even speak to my doctor or have her call me. I have been trying to get a prescription refilled for a week now and every time I call back in they act like it’s the first time contacting the office about it. I ask to speak to my doctor or have her give me a call back and it’s never happened. This is the lowest possible level of care I have ever received. Do yourself a favor and find another doctors office. I’ll update this if something changes.

I starting coming here when I changed insurance. In spite of the reviews, I was hesitant to even come here. Most of my services were through telemedicine. After a few sessions, the doctor informs me she is leaving the practice to go back to working with adolescents, and that she would be handing me off to another doctor.

I do not understand how they give these doctors license to practice psychiatry care, when they do not take the time to listen to their patients or read their history notes. At some point, throwing medication at someone isn't always the best solution. To make matters worst, you have to tell the doctor you want them off your service and that you want to seek another doctor. Really? I will look elsewhere. Do not come here if you only want pills shoved down your throat!

I've been going to White Marsh Associates for a few years now and have rarely had any issues with them. The main issue that I've honestly had is that there is no notification sent to remind you of an upcoming appt. When you have to set up appts 3+ months in advance, there really should be some sort of reminder call or email sent to let you know that your appt is coming up soon.

That said, my fiancee suffers from extreme anxiety. Since I had always had such a good experience, I convinced her to set up an appt and that's where the issues began. They set her up with a therapist who cancelled their appts more often than she actually saw my fiancee, and when the therapist would cancel it was always an hour or two prior to the appt. The office and the therapist also failed to inform my fiancee that the therapist could not prescribe medication. Instead, when she spoke to the therapist about possible medication, she was told she would need to call the office to speak with the intake associate in order to set up an appt with a doctor who could prescribe her something. When she attempted to call the intake associate it would go to voicemail, but never got a call back.

For a number of years, I have been seeing Karen Berg —LCSW, and could not have possibly had a better counselor to help me. She has been so supportive, caring, and professional, and helped me get my life back on track after a bout some years ago with major depression. Jackie in the office has also always been so helpful, as well, with setting up appointments, helping me get my meds, etc… As a retired RN/BSN and Chaplain, I would highly recommend Karen to absolutely anyone. I have led others to her that she has also helped in a big way.
5 stars for sure!
